About Us
The Santa Cruz Emergency Medical Services (SCEMS) Sub-Regional Council is a collaborative advisory body that serves as a local extension of the Southern Arizona Emergency Medical Services Council (SAEMS). Established to strengthen prehospital care and emergency response in Santa Cruz County, the Sub-Regional Council brings together EMS providers, fire service agencies, healthcare partners, and community stakeholders to address local needs while aligning with regional and state EMS priorities.
Through its work, the Council reviews and recommends EMS policies, promotes training and education, evaluates system performance, and provides input on protocols and standards of care. By representing the unique needs of Santa Cruz County, the Sub-Regional Council ensures that local perspectives are heard within the broader Southern Arizona EMS system, fostering collaboration, consistency, and continuous improvement in emergency medical services.
